Challenge:

For the Springs Preserve, Sparks was challenged with creating and installing multiple attractions that teach visitors how to shop for recyclable materials, sort for recycling, conserve resources, and identify opportunities for conservation in everyday life.

Solution:

In partnership with The Nassal Company and multiple design firms, Sparks engineered, fabricated and installed all graphic signage, architectural supports, five buildings containing 43 exhibits, outdoor exhibits including an irrigation exhibit and solar lighting for nighttime illumination using sustainable, recycled and recyclable materials.

Performance:

The Springs Preserve is the first platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating SystemT certified attraction in the U.S.
